A network for future Jewell students
"My favorite band is in Saint Louis tomorrow night?! I need to find people to go with me." Thoughts that ran through my head all day Tuesday when I found out M83 was in the area. Eventually I convinced three of my fraternity brothers to make the trek with me.
Quality bro time in the STL. We drove the 4 hour trip from KC and arrived at "the loop", a downtown strip near WashU with restaurants, clothing stores, theaters, and lots of hipsters. The M83 concert wasn't until 8, and we go there with some time to kill. We stopped at Fitz's, decided it was too expensive, left and went to chipotle. After chipotle we grabbed some Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and walked and chatted about different things. We then made our way into the Pageant to witness the greatest concert I've ever been to. M83 killed it. I was in heaven for the next two hours, as they performed all their songs better live than on their album. After the concert, the four of us explored the area. We snooped around some buildings, took a midnight tour of WashU and drove around aimlessly.
With our ears pulsing, we stopped at a Dunkin' Donuts and left the city for a long 4 hour drive back home. I drove the entire way, seeing as my car was stick shift and no one else knew how to drive it. The other three slept. How nice of them. We got back around 4 a.m. One of the greatest nights of this semester. THIS IS WHY I LOVE COLLEGE!
Check out the video recap of the concert. I highly suggest it.
